Sandra Wing is a Fused Glass jewelry artist.
Although she has been creating unique jewelry since 1996, fused glass has become a
passion, which easily translates into beautiful affordable jewelry. Transplanted from the
Pacific Northwest with her then military husband, she now resides in the North East.
Spending almost 10 years moving around the country before finally settling down
with her husband and 2 children.
"I enjoy creating handcrafted pieces of wearable art by combining fused glass,
semi-precious stone beads, and unusual wire wrapping techniques. "
The abstract art glass pieces are made by fusing multiple layers of vibrantly colored
glass. Each piece of glass is cut, shaped and fired in a kiln a minimum of 3 times
before completion.
Sandra's pieces are versatile and elegant. They can be worn as casual pieces that
complement denim or formal, evening attire.
Each piece of jewelry is a work of art, there are no duplicates. Sandra is a native of the
Seattle, Washington area. She now resides in New Jersey and brings the Seattle flair to
many of her creations. Originally starting out in beads and stained glass in 1999, she
quickly progressed to the enjoyable art of hot glass.
Sandra combines her experiences of living on the West Coast, the Gulf coast, and the East
coast into her art to create a unique style and blend that is distinctively her own. Each
creation is one of a kind, and quite unique. |
